Waste Connections is hiring a Lead Industrial Mechanic. Atlantic Coast Recycling seeks a safety‑conscious Lead Industrial Mechanic to join its recycling facility in Passaic, NJ, working the night shift and performing inspections, repairs, preventative maintenance, paperwork, and safety checks on MVR equipment.

Key focus areas include Perform inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, air, and hydraulic systems on MVR equipment, Power wash heavy equipment during routine preventative maintenance, and Complete required paperwork utilizing equipment maintenance software program.

Preferred (not required): Electrical Systems, Air Systems, Hydraulic Systems, and MVR Equipment.

Full job description

Atlantic Coast Recycling is looking for a safety conscious Lead Industrial Mechanic to join the team at our recycling facility in Passaic, NJ .

Shift: 9:30pm-6:00am

Rate: $27-$32/hr depending on experience

Typical job duties include:

Performs inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, air, andhydraulic systemson MVR equipment such as conveyors, paper and cardboard screen, ballistic screen, optical screen, balers, and others.
Will power wash heavy equipment during routine preventative maintenance.
Complete required paperwork utilizing equipment maintenance software program.
Reviews and completes repairs identified on Daily Inspection Reports.
Conductssafetychecks on vehicles and equipment.
Performs services calls for emergency breakdowns that may take place in the MRF.
Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements –

Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
Previous experience on Industrial Machinery
