Full job description
The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has openings for a Probationary Teacher Assistant - 4 Positions. The successful candidate will need to:

Strong emphasis on interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with students, teachers, and administrators;

Demonstrated ability as a self-starter in assisting to determine and meet students’ needs;
-
An awareness on how a student’s positive self-esteem will affect their academic, social, and emotional development;
-
Experience and understanding of differentiated and blended learning;
-
Experience and willingness to work with different learning styles and learning needs;
-
Exceptional communication skills, collaborative, hardworking and nurturing;
-
Experience administering test modifications according to IEP and 504 plans;
-
Able to build a positive rapport with students and parents;

Excellent written and verbal skills;

Able to manage several students and projects at the same time in a high-paced environment;

A two-year college degree is highly desirable. Emphasis in education coursework (as part of a college program is preferred).
