Full job description

Job Title: Sr. SAP Basis Administrator

Location: Remote Work

Type: Long Term Contract

Rate: $Open /hr.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Basis Administrator to support a secure, enterprise-level SAP landscape. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience administering SAP environments, working in highly regulated environments, and supporting mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain SAP landscapes, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.

  • Perform SAP installations, upgrades, patches, system copies, kernel upgrades, and refreshes.

  • Manage SAP transports and system configurations across development, QA, and production environments.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve SAP Basis-related issues in a timely manner.

  • Work closely with infrastructure, security, network, and application teams to ensure system stability and compliance.

  • Implement SAP performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning.

  • Support disaster recovery planning, backup, and recovery processes.

  • Maintain technical documentation and adhere to change management processes.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and best practices.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on SAP Basis Administration experience.

  • Strong experience supporting complex SAP landscapes.

  • Experience with SAP system installations, upgrades, migrations, and patch management.

  • Proficiency in SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, and related SAP technologies.

  • Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.

  • Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, and system performance optimization.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret Clearance preferred.

  • Experience with cloud-hosted SAP environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

  • SAP Basis certification is preferred.
