Position/Salary and Benefits: Trial Court Clerk II, Grade 18, $18.57 hourly

The Trial Court Clerk position is an integral team-oriented position with the District Court.

Job Duties:

  • Accurately receive, docket, and process legal documents for case records by computer.

  • Certify documents and support other courtroom operations.

  • Provide courteous and cooperative assistance to judges, attorneys, and the public.

  • Provide exceptional customer service through telephone and face-to-face communications.

  • Perform such other duties as assigned by the Clerk of the District Court.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Graduation from high school and one year of clerical experience is required.

  • Thirty college semester hours or its equivalent may be substituted for the required experience.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to handle diverse customers

  • Ability to perform accurate computer data entry and operate standard office equipment.

Additional desired abilities:

Experience with Microsoft Office software. Working experience in a court or law office.
