Job Description:

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Head Boys Volleyball Coach to lead and develop our high school boys volleyball program. The coach will be responsible for organizing practices, developing student-athletes’ volleyball skills, promoting sportsmanship, and fostering a positive team culture both on and off the court.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and supervise all aspects of the boys volleyball program.

  • Develop and implement effective practice plans, game strategies, and skill development.

  • Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, and academic success among student-athletes.

  • Supervise athletes during practices, games, travel, and team activities.

  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, administration, and athletic department staff.

  • Ensure compliance with school, district, and UHSAA policies and procedures.

  • Maintain inventory and proper care of equipment and uniforms.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, techniques, and game strategy.

  • Ability to work effectively with and motivate high school athletes.

  • Previous coaching and/or playing experience preferred.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

  • Must be able to pass a background check.

Requirements: Candidate must complete all required new hire paperwork and the following within 2 weeks of hire and prior to beginning coaching duties:

  • Completion of all required UHSAA coaching courses
