Matheny is a special hospital for children and adults with medically complex developmental disabilities. Our fully-accredited non-profit private school combines traditional academics with therapeutic intervention and pre-vocational skill development. Our Adult Services Program includes five licensed community residences/group homes and two adult learning centers. Duties of this position include:

  • Conducts accurate and thorough client/student examinations in the hospital or education environment using departmental format.

  • Identifies Physical Therapy Diagnosis and Prognosis to direct appropriate plan of care for each client/student.

  • Implements effective Procedural (Direct) Interventions for each client/student based on the results of the assessment process.

  • Provides coordination, communication and documentation to support the client/students functional outcome(s) and program needs.

  • Performs client/student related instruction to support the client/students functional outcome(s) and program needs.

  • Provides consultative services within the organization and/or to outside agencies regarding environmental and/or service provision issues.

  • Participates in educational programs intended to enhance the knowledge, skills and competencies of others.

  • Performs transdisciplinary roles to optimize client/students carryover of functional outcome(s) and program needs.

  • Participates in department duties and responsibilities necessary to provide effective and efficient services.

  • Participates in training and studies to enhance knowledge base in the specialty practice of Pediatrics and Developmental Disabilities.

The salary range for this position is $79,059.00 - $95,762.00 annually.
