Description

ChildS erve’s Supported Community Living (SCL) service has a job for you! As a Skill Development Parent , you will provide 1:1 personal care, skill development, supervision, and training individualized for your child. Please note, this is a temporary position.

Schedule

Flexible hours! Most shifts occur after 4pm Monday – Friday or on the weekends.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Have fun and work with your child, 1:1 to teach daily living skills

  • Be creative while engaging children in activities

  • Receive ongoing training and supervision

  • Great resume builder for those interested in social work, education, therapy, psychology, and nursing

What You’ll Need :

  • Eligibility & Background : Must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, and be a parent of a child receiving services at ChildServe

  • Communication & Documentation : Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to document observations and services accurately

  • Technology & Training : Basic computer skills and reliable internet access are required for documentation and online training

  • Transportation Requirements : Must be willing to transport as an authorized ChildServe driver, with a valid driver’s license (held for 3 years), passing a motor vehicle record and car safety check

  • Reliability & Compliance : Must have punctual attendance, pass criminal and child abuse background checks, and communicate effectively in English.
