Full job description
Nursing tutors will provide individual and small group tutoring to students in the classroom, virtually and/or in other assigned areas on-campus.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tutor students in groups, individually or in the classroom; or other setting on a subject specific area utilizing college skills strategies. Assist students with homework assignments, test preparation, time management, and study skills. Assist in reviewing academic challenges, clarifying course material, and working on solutions to aid in the mastery of course content. Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, communication skills and team work in accordance with policies and procedures. Rate of Pay: $25.00 per hour and up, depends on qualifications and experience An Associate's degree or higher in nursing and two (2) years nursing experience required. Candidates must be qualified in the individual subject area by having earned a “B” or higher in the subject/course in which they will tutor. Must be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office suite, and the ability to work with individuals and small groups.
