For over 80 years, Parsons Corporation has been a leader in the integrated design and delivery of critical infrastructure. We are currently seeking experienced Senior Engineers to join our Parsons New Jersey team. With both conventional and design-build projects, we are looking for strong leaders who can manage projects and mentor a team of engineers and designers.

Parsons is leading the three of the largest projects in NJ right now: Newark Bay Bridge for the NJTA, Newark AirTrain for the PANYNJ, and the Gateway Tunnel for the GDC. We’re looking to expand our NJ presence to execute these critical, once-in-a-lifetime projects. Additionally, we're looking for individuals to fulfill key roles in our active NJDOT projects and future pursuits. We are looking for the following Civil Engineering positions for highway geometric design, utilities engineering, MPT design and all aspects of civil/highway work. Positions are hybrid with 2-3 days per week in-person at our Newark, NJ office.

Position Overview:

As a Senior Engineer , you will support some of the region’s largest ongoing and upcoming transportation projects. What You'll Be Doing:

  • Perform highway, interchange, and street design, including geometric design, 3D modeling, drainage design, work zone traffic control, and construction staging.

  • Develop construction specifications and material quantity calculations.

  • Utilize engineering software and collaborate with CAD designers, other engineers, and subcontractors.

  • Lead projects and mentor a team of engineers and designers.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or a related field).

  • Typically 8+ years of related work experience.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration.

  • Previous NJDOT and NJTA experience

  • Experience with Bentley Open Roads and Autodesk Civil 3D

Salary Range: $88,400.00 - $154,700.00
