Substitute Teacher Associate (Regular/Special Education)

Job Description

As a Substitute Teacher Associate, you'll help create asafe, educational and nurturing environmentfor students while supporting teachers and staff throughout the district. You may work one-on-one with a student, support a small group, assist with classroom activities, or lend an extra hand wherever you're needed.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides students with individual assistance on schoolwork assigned by the instructor.

  • Assists with supervision as needed.

  • Instructs students in small groups as directed by teacher.

  • Assists in the correction of assignments, tests, etc.

  • Attends meetings as directed.

  • Works cooperatively with teacher.

  • Contributes to a culture of high expectation and excellence.

  • Assists in maintaining a quality work environment.

  • Follows directions/instructions and gets along with co-workers and supervisors.

  • Attends work regularly and on time.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the teacher or principal.
