Select Specialty Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients. The OT will play a central role in providing compassionate, excellent treatment. Key focus areas include Participate in discharge planning for each patient, Supervise certified occupational therapy assistants (OTAs), as well as OT and COTA students, and Conduct individual patient therapy regimens.

Successful candidates bring Current State Licensure As Occupational Therapist and Certified BLS. Preferred (not required): Discharge Planning, Patient/Family Education, Adaptive Equipment, and Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants.

Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)

Location: Select Specialty Hospital - McKeesport

Schedule: Full Time, 32 hours, M-F

Responsibilities

Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient/family education and adaptive equipment
Supervise certified occupational therapy assistants (OTAs), as well as OT and COTA students
Conduct individual patient therapy regimens
Monitor patients’ responses to treatment
Participate in continuing education seminars and in-services
