Full job description

VCA West Coast Specialty and Emergency Animal Hospital is seeking Veterinary Assistant to join the Medical Oncology Department at our AAHA-accredited, 24-hour emergency and multi-specialty practice in West Los Angeles, California.

Location: 18300 Euclid St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708

Schedule: Full-time, Tuesday through Friday

Salary: $20 -30 per hour

VCA West Coast is a high-volume, AAHA-accredited, state-of-the-art specialty referral and 24-hour critical care hospital located in West Los Angeles. We are a fast-paced teaching hospital that provides an amazing learning environment and a rewarding caseload. We are proud of our dedicated, compassionate, technical, and non-technical staff as well as our team of amazing specialists, senior clinicians, and interns. Team members who have a strong desire to learn and great communication skills are a must.

All applicants should be proficient in the following skills:

  • Patient Handling

  • Assisting in Patient Treatments

  • Client education and care

  • Support for the client service team

  • Equipment Maintenance

  • Experience with computers, phones, and billing is a must.

  • Experience in Veterinary Medicine preferred
