Overview

$25-28/hour + overtime + sign-on bonus + per diem + paid travel time to and from hitch (5-7 hours).

Schedule: 15 days on/6 days off, 85-90 hours/week.

Work: Maintain service operations by inspecting, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and heavy diesel trucks.
Responsibilities
-
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs: change oil, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, AC, air brakes, lights, horn, lift and install heavy components and inspection of vehicle for mechanical deficiencies, etc.

Keep a clean and safe work environment that complies with OSHA standards.

Maintain communication with drivers and management regarding maintenance and service of vehicles and equipment.

Accurately record all maintenance activity on company documentation.

Monitor Daily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) for commercial vehicles (Tractor Trailer, Bobtail, Fuel Trailer and Pick-up Trucks)

Perform all purchasing functions, such as issuing purchase orders (PO’s), etc.
Required Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.

Valid driver’s license.

Satisfactorily pass a drug, alcohol, and background check.

Pass a DOT physical or "Fit for Duty" physical exam.

Must be insurable to drive company vehicles.

Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
-
Experienced with fuel pump equipment and hoses.
-
Be familiar with DOT and other rules and regulations pertaining to commercial vehicle maintenance and compliance.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Ability to speak, write and read the English language.

Ability to handle the daily physical requirements of the work.
Compensation and Benefits

$25-$28/hour
-
Time and a half pay for hours over 40 in a work week.

$300 sign-on bonus.

Paid travel time to and from hitch (5-7 hours).

Per diem.

Company-provided lodging.

PTO in first year.

Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance available after 60 days of employment.

401k after a year of service with 4% company match.
