THE OPPORTUNITY:
CACI is seeking a CAD Drafter to support our government Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHST) customers located in Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. In this role you will work closely with engineers, design originators, preparing drawings of unusual, complex, or original designs supporting munitions which require a high degree of precision. Performs unusually difficult assignments requiring considerable initiative, resourcefulness, and drafting expertise.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop engineering drawings using software AutoCAD 2018 and Creo 9.

Assures that anticipated problems in manufacture, assembly, installation, and operation are resolved by the drawing produced

Exercises independent judgment in selecting and interpreting data based on a knowledge of the design intent

Although working primarily as a drafter, may occasionally interpret general designs prepared by others to complete minor details

May provide advice and guidance to other drafters or serve as coordinator and planner for large and complex drafting projects
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:

Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline and at least 5 years of drafting experience

Proficient with AutoCAD

Proficient with Solid Edge

Active Secret Clearance
Desired:

AutoCAD related professional certifications

Familiarity with military standards and specifications

Experience supporting production and testing environments for containerized equipment

Background in mechanical or systems design

Pay Range:
This posting is for a position covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay and benefits provided for this position will meet or exceed the minimum required amounts detailed in the wage determination issued by the Department of Labor and made applicable to this position, as incorporated into CACI’s government contract for the work location.
Minimum Required Hourly Wage:
$35.94
