Position is located: Mayo Hospital, Dover Foxcroft, ME
Work Type: Full Time
FTE: 1.0 (40 hours)
Work Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Salary Range $32.65 to $50.11
Eligible for a Sign on Bonus
Summary:
Requires direct patient care, and the ability to work closely with other departments, physicians, and health care providers. Clinical functions include assessment, planning implementation, and evaluating the care of all assigned clients. Meets all licensure and accreditation standards and promotes teamwork with physicians and other personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicates job related information to all members of rehab team, families and patients. • Consults with physicians and caregivers to promote continuity of care. • Proof of BLS. • Demonstrates assessment techniques used for evaluating the following: o neuromuscular o musculoskeletal o sensorimotor o cardiovascular o respiratory functioning • Assess patient needs and administers treatments to prevent or adapt to disabilities, reports physical functioning, maintains muscle strength, and relieves pain. • Demonstrates proficiency in the use of massage, exercise techniques, ultrasound, microwaves, infrared and ultraviolet radiation, electrical stimulation, heat and cold treatments. • Effectively teaches patients how to use prosthetics or other adaptive equipment. • Proper utilization of all equipment for job. • Maintains all equipment according to specifications. • Demonstrates proper use of body mechanics as required by job. • Uses all equipment, chemicals, or materials according to specifications. • Complies with all safety related guidelines and principles. • Charting responsibilities are performed with consideration of all members of department. • Complies with all safety related guidelines and principles. • Recognizes unsafe working conditions and offers appropriate corrective actions.
