RADIOLOGY INTERN - DIAGNOSTIC RADIOLOGY - CONTINGENT / PRN - ROTATING SHIFT

GENERAL SUMMARY:

SHIFT: Rotating Shift, Hours Will Vary Based on the Need of the Department

  • Provides services to patients within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations, under the direct supervision of a registered technologist.

  • Prepares for and assists the supervising technologists and physicians in a variety of imaging procedures.

  • Prepares contrast media and medications as directed by a supervising technologist.

  • Assists in maintaining a clean, safe and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas and dressing rooms.

  • Transports patients to and from medical imaging.

  • Assists in moving patients to, from and between radiographic tables, stretchers and wheelchairs.

  • Assists patients with general comfort care.

  • Completes paper and computer workflow procedures as directed by a supervising technologist.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma equivalency OR enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline.

CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

ADDITIONAL PREFERENCES:

  • Student Technologist within six months of graduation from an JCERT accredited program
