Full job description

Boundless is seeking a Product Intern with strong analytical, technical, and communication skills to support the growth and improvement of the Boundless LCA platform, our SaaS platform for sustainability analytics. This internship is ideal for candidates interested in product operations, technical product management, customer insights, automation, analytics, and SaaS platforms. The intern will support customer research, workflow optimization, product feedback analysis, CRM operations, and internal product enablement initiatives while gaining hands-on experience at a growing climate analytics company. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across technical and business functions, enjoys solving operational problems with data and automation, and is interested in understanding how customer feedback informs product strategy.

The Product Intern can work flexibly between 15-20 hours per week remotely, receiving direction and guidance from Boundless leadership and product teams. This is an unpaid internship, running from May 2026 through August/September 2026 (depending on availability).

Who We Are Boundless is an industry research and environmental impact analytics firm that provides objective and actionable information to move investment dollars more quickly toward clean technologies and climate solutions. Our science-based, data-driven approach is grounded in the proven methodology of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Techno-Economic Analysis (TEA). The scores and metrics derived are trustworthy and reliable because they are unbiased and validated by external industry and/or scientific experts. Boundless has the capabilities to perform rapid (and screening) LCA and TEA, LCA consistent with ISO 14040, and Scope 1,2, 3 emissions inventories.

We are rapidly expanding as we extend our environmental impact analytics to a growing customer base of investors, companies, and large institutions. We are also developing online data platforms for our company and investor subscribers, to provide access to our climate impact scores, reports, analytics, and industry benchmarks. This is an opportunity to join an entrepreneurial team, focused on science-based environmental impact analysis and building out a best-in-class product.

Responsibilities

  • Support operational workflows for the Boundless LCA Calculator platform.
  • Assist with customer research and feedback synthesis to identify user pain points and workflow improvements.
  • Conduct competitive research on SaaS products and sustainability analytics tools.
  • Analyze customer and market data to support product positioning and feature prioritization.
  • Support CRM organization and lead management processes.
  • Create onboarding guides, product summaries, and customer-facing collateral.
  • Design surveys and structured feedback collection systems.
  • Assist with reporting and visualization of customer insights and operational metrics.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, research, and product teams.
  • Support automation and operational efficiency initiatives. Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Sustainability, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong interest in SaaS products, product operations, product analytics, or customer insights.
  • Experience with Python, SQL, APIs, data systems, or workflow automation is a plus.
  • Strong research, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Technical aptitude to understand SaaS products and digital platforms; familiarity with LCA or environmental products is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems or willingness to learn (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
  • Interest in understanding customer needs and translating feedback into actionable insights.
  • Developing critical thinking skills with attention to detail and interest in competitive analysis.
  • Ability to multitask, to complete tasks on tight deadlines, and maintain close attention to details and timelines.
  • Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing other related duties as required.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, you have a positive attitude and you are easy to work with. The candidate will be able to own projects and gain hands-on experience in product operations and customer research at a fast-growing SaaS and analytics company.
