Salary Range: $19.00 To $22.00 Hourly

High School Job Support Staff-Bordentown Area

Reports to: Manager and HS Coordinator

Pay Range: $19.00-22.00 (pending experience)

Primary Responsibilities: Provide direct support for individuals with disabilities within the

workplace for the Bordentown School District

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support and assistance to achieve their highest potential within a workplace

environment.

  • Advocate for individuals with disabilities, including fostering relationships within the workplace.

  • Monitor the client's progress through frequent communication with the school, workplace

contact, and other staff.

  • Monitors client's safety within the workplace environment.

  • Report progress/and or concerns to the Supervisor/HS Coordinator as needed, via phone calls,

e-mails, text, or supervision meetings.

  • Review and respond to e-mails or text messages from Supervisor/HS Coordinator regarding

scheduling and any other changes pertaining to the client.

  • Attend staff meetings/in-service, (when held and if work schedule permits)

  • Complete daily progress note documentation as required by JFCS and Bordentown School

District

  • Complete and track training required by JFCS.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, or a related field or two years of experience working

with individuals with developmental disabilities.

  • 18 years or older

  • Computer literacy is necessary.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with employers, employees, and other professional staff in a

compassionate and professional manner.

  • Valid driver’s license, registration, insurance, and good driving record

  • Self-motivated, reliable and a team player
