Preferred (not required): Data Center Experience, Building Automation Systems, and HVAC Controls.

Full job description
As part of our continued growth strategy, Albireo Energy is expanding our sales team and is looking for a motivated and adaptable Sales Engineer to help drive growth in the Arizona market.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities, and developing solutions for customers. While experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC controls, or the construction industry is beneficial, we are equally interested in candidates who demonstrate strong sales ability, technical aptitude, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
This position will work closely with customers, consulting engineers, contractors, and our internal operations team to develop Building Automation opportunities from initial concept through proposal and award.
Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with building owners, end users, design/build contractors, mechanical contractors, consulting engineers, ESCOs, and other industry partners.

Prospect for new customers and identify opportunities to expand relationships with existing accounts.

Meet with customers to understand their needs and develop Building Automation solutions that deliver measurable value.

Assist consulting engineers and customers with the design and application of Building Automation and control systems.

Review plans, specifications, and project requirements to develop project scopes and estimates.

Estimate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs for Building Automation projects.

Prepare clear and professional proposals, scopes of work, estimates, and customer presentations.

Present Albireo Energy's capabilities and solutions to customers, contractors, and consulting engineers.

Negotiate project scope, pricing, and commercial terms with contractors and end users.

Partner with Operations and Project Management to ensure a smooth transition from sales to project execution and a high level of customer satisfaction.

Support sales of new installations, system upgrades, service agreements, and ongoing maintenance solutions.

Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately track opportunities and customer activity within the CRM.

Collaborate and team-sell with other sales, engineering, and operations personnel.

Participate in sales meetings, technical training, and industry events.

Achieve annual revenue and gross margin objectives.
Requirements

Willingness to use CRM tools for pipeline, opportunity, and activity management.

Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications

Previous sales, business development, estimating, engineering, or customer-facing experience.

Experience in Building Automation, HVAC, mechanical systems, controls, construction, electrical, or a related technical industry.

Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, or controls drawings and specifications.

Understanding of HVAC systems and control applications.

Experience with owner-direct, design/build, or plan-and-spec projects is a plus but is not required.

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field is preferred; relevant industry and sales experience will also be considered.
