Full job description
The part-time courtroom clerk within the Prothonotary's Office swears in defendants or litigants in criminal or civil court proceedings, generates bench warrants or release orders, attends hearings, prepares verdict slips and paperwork, and conducts genealogical searches when not needed in the courtroom.
Requirements
Qualified applicants will possess a high school diploma or GED; at least one year's clerical experience; strong customer service skills; effective communications skills; a courteous, patient, and professional demeanor; experience maintaining confidentiality; and computer literacy.
Benefits
This is a part-time position limited to 999 hours per anniversary year, so there are minimal benefits provided. Starting hourly wage is $14.44/hour. EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
