Full job description

NEW YEAR, NEW CAREER Jennie-O Turkey Store Is Ready For you! We have a current opening for a Farm Manger on our Pederson Brood farm, located near Appleton, MN. An agricultural background and previous management experience is helpful.Responsibilities:

  • This position is responsible for following animal care and bio-security guidelines as they brood and grow turkeys. In addition to providing daily care for the birds, the farm manager is responsible for maintaining barns, keeping accurate records, ordering feed and operating various types of equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must not own care for or handle pet birds, wild or domestic poultry or hogs.

  • Must have basic computer skills and be able to read and write English.

  • Applicant must be able to work in a dusty environment & walk on uneven surfaces.

  • Must also be able to stand/bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to work a varied schedule that includes evenings and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual, English & Spanish

  • Strong agricultural back ground with poultry emphasis.

  • Previous management/supervisory experience.
