Competitive Wage range of $17.73 - $19.25 per hour DOE!

Additional 5% shift differential for evening and night shift.

The Idaho Division of Veterans Services (IDVS) is looking for exceptional individuals who can add value to our amazing team at the Veterans Home in Pocatello.

This opening is for full-time positions that come with amazing state benefits. The available shifts will include weekends. We welcome new graduates and seasoned professionals to join our team. We guarantee 40 hours per week to full-time employees regardless of census. Evening and Night shift employees receive an additional 5% shift differential .

Example of duties:

  • Performs personal nursing care for elderly residents

  • Determines resident needs and takes and records vital signs

  • Provides personal hygiene care and maintains a safe and sanitary resident-care environment

  • Lifts, positions, transports, and escorts residents and assists with walking and other body movements

  • Feeds residents who require assistance and implements individual resident treatment plans as outlined by supervisor

  • Records resident care, reporting changes in physical or mental status to health-care team

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possession of current Nursing Assistant Certification and listed on the Idaho State Nurse Aide Registry, OR

  • Completion of a state-approved nurse aide training or competency evaluation program (NATCEP) and eligible for placement on the State Nurse Aide Registry, which requires:

Verification of completion of a state approved NATCEP; AND Verification the skills competency test has been passed;

AND

Verification the written test has been scheduled for placement on the CNA Registry.

Clearance:

The Idaho Division of Veterans Services requires applicants to pass a criminal history background investigation after a conditional offer of employment.
