Deputy County Attorney: Litigation Division

Location: Rochester, NY

Title: Deputy County Attorney: Litigation Division

Salary: $87,000 - $125,000 annually

Description of Duties

This is a professional position in the field of municipal law in the County Department of Law. The employee may exercise general supervision over subordinate attorneys assigned to the same division. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of a Senior Deputy County Attorney or other higher-level attorney staff member. Does related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • The attorney(s) must be duly licensed to practice law in the State of New York.

  • The ideal candidate(s) will have substantial civil litigation experience in New York State and Federal Court. Civil trial experience is preferred.

  • The attorneys(s) must have the ability to work well with judges, lawyers, court administrators, and other individuals within the court system.
