Full job description

We’re building a world of health around every individual — shaping a more connected, convenient and compassionate health experience. At CVS Health®, you’ll be surrounded by passionate colleagues who care deeply, innovate with purpose, hold ourselves accountable and prioritize safety and quality in everything we do. Join us and be part of something bigger – helping to simplify health care one person, one family and one community at a time.

Position Summary Join Aetna in a meaningful onsite role supporting the health and wellbeing of City of Orlando employees. As the Onsite Nurse Liaison, you will bring your clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and service-focused approach to help employees understand their health benefits, connect with appropriate programs and resources, and take practical next steps toward better health.

This full-time, client-based position is primarily anchored at City Hall, 400 South Orange Avenue, Orlando, FL 32801, where the nurse’s office is located. The role is designed for someone who enjoys being present, visible, and accessible. In addition to time at City Hall, you will regularly visit City worksites to meet employees where they are, including early morning, daytime, and occasional later-day visits based on employee schedules and worksite needs.

The ideal candidate thrives in a mobile onsite environment and can effectively balance worksite visits, City Hall appointments, employee drop-ins, documentation, meetings, and follow-up activities. Approximately 15-25% of the workday may involve local travel between City of Orlando worksites. This role is well suited for a self-directed professional who can work independently with limited supervision, confidently manage competing priorities, and serve as a trusted onsite resource for employees and client stakeholders. What You’ll Do

  • Build trusted, professional relationships with City of Orlando employees, HR Benefits contacts, Aetna partners, and wellness stakeholders by providing approachable and responsive onsite support.
  • Provide one-on-one education and navigation support to help employees better understand their benefits, medical and pharmacy cost share, claims, prior authorization, preventive care, clinical programs, EAP, and other available resources.
  • Use available data and population health insights to conduct thoughtful, proactive outreach related to high-risk scores, frequent or inappropriate emergency room utilization, catastrophic cases, diabetes support, preventive screenings, and other targeted wellness priorities.
  • Visit City worksites to provide health education, blood pressure screenings, preventive screening reminders, and benefit navigation for employees who may not be able to visit City Hall during standard office hours.
  • Primarily support City of Orlando employees, with occasional support for family members and rare support for retirees, as appropriate to the role and available programs.
  • Connect employees to the right support at the right time through warm transfers and referrals to Aetna care management, social workers, nutritionists, behavioral health resources, clinical programs, community resources, and other appropriate channels.
  • Support City wellness initiatives, including Wellness Wednesday communications, new hire orientations, monthly and quarterly touchpoints, health observance activities, and larger annual initiatives such as mammography, colorectal cancer screening, site-of-care education, and utilization-focused campaigns.
  • Maintain timely documentation, follow-up, appointment support, and reporting activities to help keep outreach, onsite visits, and wellness program support organized and effective.
  • Review utilization patterns, top clinical conditions, screening opportunities, and engagement trends to help shape practical recommendations for future wellness solutions and employee education strategies.
  • Represent the Aetna and City of Orlando wellness partnership with professionalism, confidentiality, service orientation, and a commitment to a positive employee experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Nurses with an active, unrestricted Florida RN license
  • 5-7 years relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of clinical practice experience as an RN
  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday during core business hours, with flexibility for occasional early-morning worksite visits, extended-day support, and special events with advance notice.
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally between City of Orlando worksites as part of the regular onsite schedule.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, organization, documentation, and follow-up skills.
  • Comfort supporting employees in individual and group settings, including frontline teams, field-based employees, HR partners, internal stakeholders, and leaders.
  • Experience in case management, care coordination, population health, employee or occupational health, or employer-based wellness, with the ability to educate employees on preventive care, chronic condition support, benefit navigation, and appropriate site-of-care decisions.

Preferred Qualifications Certified Case Manager (CCM) certification.

Education Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.
