Full job description
Join our Critical Care Unit team (CCU) as a Patient Care Tech CNA/MA/EMT!
CCU
The CCU is a 13 bed-unit providing multiple levels of care to patients of all ages (neonate to geriatric). Patient conditions can range from intensive care to observational care.

This is a Night Shift position working 3 12 hour shifts a week - rotating weekends!

Performs basic patient care according to established procedures under the supervision of staff RN/LPN, including hygiene, nutrition, I&O and vital sign monitoring.

Observes patient condition and reports immediately any abnormal symptoms or unusual occurrences.

Performs specialized skills after additional training and competency verification.

Maintains adequate supplies and participates in upkeep and stocking of unit and patient care areas.

Sets up and maintains equipment properly as directed.

Provides safe, efficient environment for patients and families.

Assists patients, visitors, and families, and either meets requests or communicates requests to appropriate staff member

Assists care providers as appropriate.

Assists with clerical duties.

Assists with obtaining accurate heights and weights as directed.

Performs patient rounding.

Assists with implementing and monitoring fall prevention precautions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
-
Completion of Nursing Assistant or equivalent patient care training program and/or past experience preferred.

Current BLS certification through American Heart Association.

High School Diploma or GED required.

SALARY RANGE
-
$20.00 to $28.87/hour (PCT)
-
Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.

$2.25 /hour evening shift differential when working a minimum of 4 consecutive hours between 3:00pm-11:30pm.

$4.00 /hour night shift differential when working a minimum of 4 consecutive hours between 11:00pm - 7:30am.

$2.25 /hour weekend differential when working 5 or more continuous hours between 7pm on Friday and 7am on Sunday

Eligible for a $1,000 sign on bonus for a six-month, full-time commitment.
