Full job description
Recruiting for a day-to-day building substitute to fill-in for teacher aides or teaching assistants while they are out of the classroom.
In this job as a Paraprofessional, you may be required to complete the following tasks:

Lift, carry, pull up to 60 lbs.

Be outdoors for up to an hour year around in potentially inclement weather

Be on your feet and supervising consistently for up to an hour

Be able to run and keep up with a child

With training, operate a copier and complete classroom cutting and clerical tasks

Speak and communicate clearly with children

Be able to sit and get up from the floor or low seated position.

Be part of a P.E. class and be able to support sport activities
Job Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus
EITHER: (A) One (1) year of full-time or its part-time equivalent paid or volunteer equivalent experience working in a clerical capacity;
OR,
(B) One (1) year of full-time or its part-time equivalent paid or volunteer equivalent experience working with children;
OR,
(C) Possession of a certificate of completion for a course for Child Care through an occupational school, The American Red Cross or similar agency;
OR,
(D) A combination of experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B), and (C) above.
NOTE: Successful completion of one (1) year of college education beyond high school (minimum of 30 semester college credit hours) may be substituted for the one (1) year of experience.
