York Technical College, a member of the South Carolina Technical and Comprehensive Education System, is a public, two-year institution of higher education that offers a variety of associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. Through maximizing student success, the College seeks to contribute to the economic growth and development of York, Lancaster, and Chester counties and of the State. The Adjunct Nursing Instructor performs the following functions (four vacancies): Making and posting clinical assignments for students prior to clinical practicum day. Supervising students who are providing direct client care. Grading student written work required in the course, under the direction of the supervising faculty member. Advising students of clinical progress. Keeping the course coordinator informed of student process and /or concerns. Maintaining effective communication with staff on the assigned unit. Keeping formative student performance evaluation data and giving weekly feedback to students Attending Team Planning and End-of-Course Meetings Attending Nursing Faculty Meetings as desired. Hold an unencumbered, active, current license as a registered nurse in the State of South Carolina or another Compact state Hold at least a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing At least two years experience related to the area of assigned teaching responsibilities Applicants indicating degree(s) on the application are required to provide unofficial copies of transcripts in the application process and official transcript upon hire.
