Sports Instructor I - II - Youth Part-Time

Application Closing Deadline: Ongoing/Open.

This is an ongoing recruitment process, with no specific closing date. We will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis.

$15.70 - $22.75 per hour

If you have a passion for sports, want to work with a dynamic team, are high energy, and want to help the next generation learn, then the BMX Instructor position is for you! This position is responsible for the supervision and instruction of BMX programs. The BMX Instructor will develop lesson plans and evaluate and assess skill level and progress of all participants. This position may require shifts ranging from morning to evening hours.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Will have general knowledge of BMX including rules and regulations.

  • Will have a good understanding of BMX including the principles, practice, and techniques.

  • Will have the ability to make proper calls on command and the ability to accept criticism.

  • Has the ability to handle participants, team managers and/or coaches under difficult situations.

  • Capable of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with fellow employees, various community organizations, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age or fifteen (15) years of age for the BMX Instructor position.

  • Must have at least three (3) years of previous experience in assigned area of structured programming. Experience may be achieved through BMX riding, teaching, coaching and/or competing in assigned field.
