Rep-Lite is partnering with a leading workplace furniture solutions organization to identify a Business Development Executive for the Detroit market.

This is an opportunity to join a respected industry leader that helps organizations create more productive, engaging, and efficient work environments through innovative workplace solutions, interior environments, and project services.

We're seeking a driven, relationship-focused sales professional who thrives on developing new business, building strategic partnerships, and helping clients solve complex workplace challenges.

What You'll Do

As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through new client acquisition, strategic account development, and consultative selling across commercial, hospitality, government, healthcare, education, and professional office environments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within the Greater Detroit market

  • Build relationships with C-suite executives, facilities leaders, real estate professionals, architects, designers, and other key stakeholders

  • Develop and execute territory growth strategies to expand market share and generate new revenue

  • Lead the full sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, solution development, proposal presentation, negotiation, and closing

  • Collaborate with internal design, project management, and implementation teams to deliver customized client solutions

  • Maintain and expand existing client relationships through exceptional service and strategic account management

  • Generate leads through networking, referrals, industry associations, and community involvement

  • Stay informed on workplace trends, commercial interiors, facility planning, and evolving client needs

  • Represent the organization at industry events, networking functions, and trade shows

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is a consultative sales professional who excels at relationship-building, business development, and navigating complex sales environments.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • 3+ years of successful B2B sales, business development, or account management experience

  • Proven track record of generating new business and consistently achieving sales goals

  • Experience selling solutions into commercial, healthcare, education, construction, architectural, design, facilities management, real estate, or related industries

  • Strong ability to engage executive-level decision makers and influence multiple stakeholders

  • Experience managing long sales cycles and solution-based selling engagements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred but not required

  • Existing network within the Greater Detroit business community is highly desirable
