Full job description
Position Summary
We are seeking a per diem physical therapist, or physical therapy assistant, to join our supportive team of skilled clinicians in the Outpatient Rehabilitation department, with an interest in aquatic physical therapy. Experienced team members are available to provide opportunities for clinical mentorship if desired. We have a clinical ladder program recognizing expertise and providing opportunities for advancement, with associated compensation.
We have a dynamic outpatient clinic providing care to primarily orthopedic and neurologic populations. The Miller Therapy Pool is attached directly to the Outpatient Rehabilitation department. We provide patient-centered care with an interdisciplinary team with frequent communication with team members, including onsite PCPs, Physiatry, Pediatrics, Neurology, Occupational, and Speech Therapies.
Responsibilities would include patient-centered treatment for patients, primarily in the aquatic environment, with a variety of diagnoses, maintaining appropriate records, working cooperatively with other members of the health care team to provide optimal care.
Qualifications
Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy or Physical Therapy Assistant Program. Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills and overall professional behavior.
Licensure & Certifications
Current licensure in the State of Vermont.

Mt Ascutney Hospital is a small rural-based hospital in historic Windsor, Vermont. It has CARF accredited Inpatient and Outpatient Rehabilitation programs. The Outpatient Rehabilitation Program has clinics onsite at the main hospital in Windsor, and a satellite clinic in beautiful Woodstock, Vermont.
