Full job description

We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for aTeardown Specialist to join a leading Company located in theWoodridge, IL surrounding area.

Pay Rate: $22-$30/hour

As the Teardown Specialist you will serve as the local representative for the Customer Center located in Woodridge, IL. You will aid in the focus on Quality Assurance by inspecting engine assemblies received at manufacturing facilities to ensure conformance to specifications and communicate nonconformance details back to the regional and central Quality teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand failure of the engine by reading and analyzing the engine claim/THD/report and relevant documentation.

  • Engine teardown by following step by step work instructions. including taking pictures of engine and engine components following the work instructions (engine status of arrival, damaged components, etc).

  • Review the automated reports of the analyses completed and distribution .

  • Manual activities on engines with high level of accuracy (dismantling components, mounting components, measuring residual torques, etc).

  • Reporting activities using company tools and procedures.

  • Technical root cause analysis.

  • Maintain the teardown area to be clean and safe, including the storage of the work tools.

  • Forklift operation to manage engine movements.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 1+ year of experience with wrenching or technical experience.

  • Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
