The Job: If you have a passion for the pool and like teaching, you’ll love being a swim coach for Youth Swim Team! As a Swim Coach, you will conduct and assist with swim meets, help develop techniques and encourage young swimmers!

The Core Duties:
-
Teach/Coach various levels and age groups
-
Follow up with prospective swimmers, hold try-outs and report back to the parents and Aquatics Management
-
Introduce children to good sportsmanship, teamwork, individual accountability, patience and maturity all through a love of swimming

Plan practices that may be in-water or on dry-land, select appropriate drills based on age and ability
-
Collaborate with other Swim Coach(es) and/or Aquatics Management on workouts, swim meets, other events, etc.
The Essentials:
-
Strong swimming background required
-
Individual must be dynamic, enthusiastic, energetic, friendly, personable and have the ability to inspire and motivate others.

Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, organized, with good time management and great follow-up skills
-
Ability and desire to work independently and as a team member with the community, other coaches and other employees
-
Excellent communication skills, customer service oriented and commitment to Aquatics excellence
-
Ability to multi-task
-
1+ years of experience being an aquatic instructor/coach preferred
-
Current Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid Certified preferred
-
Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
