The Animal Medical Center of Seattle, WA is hiring a full- time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Internal Medicine team!

Schedule:

  • Wednesday- Saturday 8am-6pm

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Compensation is based on experience and skill level. $30 – 38/hr.

  • Our pay ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

  • Full time employees receive competitive hourly compensation; health; dental; vision; 401k; with a company sponsored match; therapy and counseling services; Life insurance; Employee Assistance Program; Long and short term disability; discounted pet care after 30 days of employment; paid time off; reimbursement of licensing fees; uniform allowance; $2000 annual CE for VTS plus accruing PTO, $1,250 annual CE for LVTs plus accruing PTO and $500 for VAs

Summary:

Animal Medical Center of Seattle (AMCS) is looking for friendly and career minded Licensed Veterinary Technicians to join our Internal Medicine Department in providing specialty animal care in Shoreline, WA. Our doctors, support staff and managers all work together to provide the most comprehensive care and customer service for our patients, clients, and the referring veterinary community.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Successful Veterinary Technician applicants will require the following experience, skills, and training to be considered:

  • Currently licensed or eligible to become licensed as a Veterinary Technician in the state of Washington; VTS credentialed technicians or those interested in pursuing obtaining VTS credentials are encouraged to apply.

  • Has at least 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital setting. Specialty medicine experience is preferred but not required.

  • Displays competency in the general knowledge and nursing skills required to care for internal medicine patients. Preference will be given to Veterinary Technicians with a strong background in anesthesia.

  • Is able to bend, kneel, stoop, and stand for long periods of time; can individually and frequently lift patients and inventory up to 40 pounds.
