Job Description

Great Place Construction is a private construction firm that specializes in commercial construction. We are seeking a Traveling Project Superintendent to join our team to facilitate, coordinate and manage project operations as the leader of the on-site management team. DUTIES:

  • Evaluate construction plans for completeness and constructability.

  • Review and understand contract documents.

  • Coordinate with design consultants to resolve discrepancies in plans and specifications.

  • Develop and maintain interval schedules.

  • Maintain site logistics.

  • Collaborate/coordinate with field personnel to complete self-performed work.

  • Collaborate/coordinate with subcontractor lead personnel.

  • Implement project/company requirements for safety, quality control, risk, compliance, etc.

  • Administer daily project tracking and reporting.

  • Coach and mentor balance of on-site team.

  • Be an active participant in elevating yourself and the team around you.

  • Willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver a successful outcome.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel as needed to project locations for duration of project.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Advanced understanding of construction means, methods and practices.

  • Bachelor’s degree or working toward a bachelor's degree in construction or engineering or 10 years trade experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience with 3 of those years having been in supervisory position.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of tools.

  • Valid DL and good driving record.
