Full job description

Job Duties

We are seeking an Internal Audit & Information Security Officer to help Arcadian Bank make better use of technology while strengthening the systems, controls, and processes that protect our customers and our bank.

This is a unique role for someone who enjoys both building and evaluating. You will help us identify opportunities to use technology more effectively, assist with the implementation of new technology and improved processes, and help employees get more value from the tools available to them. At the same time, you will conduct internal audits and reviews across the bank to help ensure we are operating in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and sound banking practices.

We aren't necessarily looking for someone who checks every traditional box. We are looking for someone who is curious, analytical, comfortable with technology, willing to dig into how things work, and motivated to continuously make them better.

Our Culture

We hire and promote people who demonstrate judgment, communication, impact, curiosity, innovation, courage, passion, honesty, and selflessness. We believe outstanding people create extraordinary results.

Read more about our culture here: Arcadian Bank Culture Document.

What is NOT required

Computer Science or related degree. This would be helpful but a passion and aptitude for technology are the key building blocks.

Prior banking experience. While it can be valuable, we place greater emphasis on adaptability, curiosity, and a willingness to learn our unique approach to community banking.

Previous employment in an IT department. Useful, but the practical application of technology is more important than technical experience.

Why Join Us

Play an important role in the continued growth and evolution of Arcadian Bank

Help shape how we use technology throughout the organization

Research and implement new technologies that make banking better for our employees and customers

Work across virtually every area of the bank and develop a broad understanding of our business

Help protect the bank and our customers through strong information security and internal controls

Work in an environment that values curiosity, innovation, sound judgment, and continuous improvement

Build a long-term career with significant opportunity to learn and grow

What You Need to Be Successful

To thrive in this role, you should be naturally curious and enjoy understanding how systems and processes work. You should be comfortable asking questions, researching unfamiliar subjects, identifying risks, and challenging the status quo when there is a better way to accomplish something.

Strong technology skills are important, but we are equally interested in your ability to learn new technology quickly and apply it thoughtfully. You should be able to move comfortably between technology, banking operations, internal controls, and regulatory requirements while communicating effectively with employees who have varying levels of technical knowledge.

Excellent judgment and attention to detail are essential. Internal audit requires independence and objectivity, while successful technology implementation requires collaboration and an understanding of how people actually work. The ability to balance those responsibilities will be important.

You should also possess strong written and verbal communication skills, sound analytical abilities, a commitment to confidentiality, and the initiative to take ownership of projects and see them through to completion.

Experience in banking, information technology, information security, internal audit, risk management, or regulatory compliance is beneficial, but we place significant value on aptitude, curiosity, judgment, and the ability to learn.

Arcadian Bank is an EEO employer. All qualified applicants will be considered for employment without regard to race, religion, color, sex, national origin, age, disability or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by local, state, or federal law.
