Title: MQ/ Kafka Automation Engineer

Rate: 89.74hr

Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid on site: 3 days per week)

MUST WORK ON DIRECT W2 (No C2C)

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support and automate enterprise messaging platforms across the organization. This role will focus heavily on IBM MQ and Confluent Kafka administration, engineering, automation, and cloud-based deployments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with messaging middleware, Infrastructure as Code, and automation technologies, along with the ability to support large-scale, mission-critical environments.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting and engineering enterprise messaging platforms, including IBM MQ and Confluent Kafka.

• Automating platform deployments, configuration management, and operational processes using Terraform, Python, and Ansible.

• Administering MQ Queue Managers, queues, channels, and messaging infrastructure in large enterprise environments.

• Supporting Kafka platform deployments and ongoing operational management.

• Developing Infrastructure as Code solutions for public and private cloud environments.

• Collaborating with application teams to support messaging integrations and ensure platform reliability.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, or software development experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with IBM MQ administration and engineering.

• Experience supporting MQ Queue Managers, queues, channels, and enterprise messaging environments.

• Hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka in production environments.

• Strong Terraform experience for Infrastructure as Code.

• Strong Python and Ansible development experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $89.74 - $89.74/hr.
