Part-Time K-6 Tutor

Tutor Doctor of North Jersey is seeking dependable, caring tutors to provide personalized, one-to-one academic support to elementary students in grades K-6. We’re looking for tutors with daytime availability, ideally between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM, to work with students in Ramsey, Mahwah, Wyckoff, and nearby communities. This is a part-time, supplemental opportunity for tutors and educators who value meaningful work and consistent student relationships. Subjects may include: Reading, Writing, Phonics, Elementary Math, Study Skills, and general school support. Responsibilities * Provide individualized, in-home tutoring tailored to each student’s needs * Build foundational skills in reading, writing, and math * Support homework completion, skill development, and confidence * Communicate student progress and goals with parents * Collaborate with the Tutor Doctor team regarding student needs and scheduling * Submit clear and timely session reports after each tutoring session Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree preferred (education or related field a plus) * Prior tutoring, teaching, or academic support experience with elementary-age students preferred * Patience, warmth, and the ability to keep young learners engaged * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Daytime availability, ideally 9:00 AM-12:00 PM * Reliable transportation for in-home sessions * Ability to commit ideally through the school year What We Offer * Flexible daytime scheduling * Competitive compensation * Ongoing support from a local team * Long-term student placements
