  • Build rigorous deal economics evaluations and risk assessments to assess the financial impact of customer commitments and proposed investments.

  • Use scenario analysis to compare deal structures and make recommendations to maximize the chance of winning without eroding future profitability.

  • Help shape deal constructs, and identify, quantify and mitigate risks such as margin erosion and consumption shortfalls.

Support approvals with financial discipline

  • Prepare the financial materials executives need to decide, including deal P&Ls, scenario analyses, risk assessments and approval narratives.

  • Ensure proposals align with financial policies and support appropriate review and approval.

Build COGS and product economics expertise

  • Develop expertise in cloud cost drivers and product economics, and apply those insights to assess deal profitability.

  • Understand the key cost assumptions and drivers that influence profitability in your area.

  • Partner with finance teams to understand cost drivers and assess profitability risks and opportunities in strategic deals.

Turn deal experience into pricing insight

  • Translate deal experience and market insights into recommendations that inform pricing and commercial strategy.

  • Identify recurring themes across deals and recommend opportunities to improve commercial approaches.

  • Communicate actionable insights to help shape commercial guidance and long-term strategy.

Improve how we work

  • Improve finance tools, modeling, reporting and analytical workflows by applying finance expertise and experience from deals.

  • Make AI part of how you work: build confidence with AI tools and agents, rethink manual tasks and use connected data to support analysis and problem-solving. Stay accountable for understanding the work, validating outputs and applying sound financial judgment.

  • Share practical AI approaches, reusable workflows and lessons learned so colleagues can build on each other’s work. Take ownership of improvements within your remit, collaborate across team boundaries and help build an inclusive culture of learning and experimentation.

  • Embody our culture and values
