Full job description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Manufacturing Production team is responsible for a wide range of activities that are crucial to the manufacturing process including operating equipment, assembling products, performing quality control checks, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The Manufacturing Training and Development team plays a critical role in equipping employees with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to excel in their roles. They design, develop, and deliver training programs that enhance technical proficiency, ensure compliance, and support career growth within the organization. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a growing training function while enhancing our employee’s training experiences.

ABOUT THE JOB

We're building the future of defense manufacturing — and that starts with how we develop our leaders. The Leadership Development Designer & Facilitator (Manufacturing) will own the design, development, and delivery of leadership training content and programs across all our manufacturing sites. This role connects leadership development strategy to on-the-ground execution, ensuring our production leaders are equipped with practical, floor-ready skills through well-designed, high-quality training content and experiences. The ideal candidate is someone who understands what leadership looks like in a manufacturing environment — running shift huddles, coaching technicians, managing to takt and safety, and holding standards under production pressure — and who can build and deliver training that reflects that reality. You will be responsible for designing and developing training content, directly facilitating programs, and continuously improving program quality, with a particular focus on partnering with Manufacturing Optimization to support the Anduril Production System.

A successful candidate will be expected to work out of Columbus, OH. Based on eligibility, relocation assistance may be available. At times, travel up to 50% may be required for training, cross-site collaboration, or supporting continuous improvement initiatives at other Anduril facilities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Design & Develop Leadership Content: Own the creation and adaptation of leadership development content, modules, and experiential learning activities specifically tailored for production and manufacturing leaders. This includes defining learning objectives, curriculum structure, and delivery methods in alignment with overall program strategy.

  • Facilitate & Deliver High-Impact Training: Directly facilitate engaging and effective leadership development programs for diverse cohorts of production and manufacturing leaders, fostering critical thinking and practical application.

  • Coordinate Program Delivery: Work with internal L&D team members to execute the logistics behind each program — scheduling, participant assignment and completion tracking, materials preparation, and LMS administration. Provide clear direction on what's needed and by when, and confirm sessions are set up to run smoothly across sites.

  • Ground Content in Manufacturing Reality: Spend time on the production floor to observe how leaders operate, and translate those observations into scenarios, case studies, and practice activities that reflect real shift-level challenges rather than generic leadership examples.

  • Assess Leadership Development Needs: Partner with manufacturing and operations leaders across sites to understand leadership skill gaps and translate strategic development priorities into actionable training designs and content.

  • Support Measurement & Continuous Improvement: Collect participant feedback and use data to continuously refine and optimize content and delivery. Support the Leadership Development Program Manager in reporting on overall program effectiveness and impact.

  • Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with manufacturing leadership, the People Team, Manufacturing Optimization, Corporate L&D, and other stakeholders to ensure training content aligns with operational priorities and to support seamless rollout of leadership initiatives across sites.

  • Enable Internal Facilitation Capabilities: Develop and facilitate “train-the-trainer” programs and provide resources to empower internal subject matter experts to effectively deliver and reinforce leadership development content within their respective sites or functions.

  • Support Anduril Production System Rollout: Partner with Manufacturing Optimization to design and deliver leadership training content that supports the launch and adoption of the Anduril Production System across manufacturing sites.

  • Other: Perform other responsibilities as assigned in support of the manufacturing leadership development strategy.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years of combined experience in Learning & Development, Leadership Development, and/or frontline leadership in a manufacturing or production environment — at least 2 of which involve designing and facilitating training.

  • Proven experience designing and delivering leadership development training content for diverse audiences, including frontline and mid-level leaders. Application of adult learning and instructional design principles.

  • Strong facilitation skills with demonstrated ability to engage, inspire, and develop leaders at various levels, including credibility with frontline and shift-level audiences who may be skeptical of classroom training.

  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, high-growth environment — comfortable operating with ambiguity and limited precedent, and able to build from scratch rather than inherit established processes.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage content development and delivery across multiple sites concurrently.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and build strong relationships with cross-functional and senior leadership teams.

  • Ability to collect and analyze participant feedback and training data to inform content improvement.

  • Proficient with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Direct experience working within or supporting a manufacturing, production, or heavy industrial environment.

  • Strong working knowledge and application of LEAN tools and principles, 5S, and Six Sigma to eliminate waste

  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and learning experience platforms (LXP) for program administration and content delivery.

  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
