Full job description

Our client is looking for a Lead Configuration Engineer/Developer to lead hands-on development and configuration across HR and Finance applications. This is a principal-level individual contributor role requiring Workday ERP experience, with approximately 90% hands-on coding and 10% mentorship of junior onshore developers. The ideal candidate is highly technical, accountable for delivery, and able to travel to Newtown Square, PA as needed.

Position Description

  • Lead configuration and development for HR and Finance applications

  • Own technical delivery, quality, and issue resolution

  • Spend 90% of time coding, configuring, and troubleshooting

  • Mentor junior onshore developers 10% of the time

  • Serve as technical lead with no direct reports

  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions

  • Perform code reviews and maintain development standards

  • Partner with HR, Finance, functional, and technical teams

  • Troubleshoot complex application and integration issues

  • Drive work independently from design through delivery

Requirements

Required Skills

  • Workday ERP experience required

  • Senior-level HR and/or Finance application configuration and development experience

  • Strong hands-on coding experience

  • Application configuration and customization

  • Complex troubleshooting and debugging

  • Technical solution design

  • Integration experience

  • Code review experience

  • Ownership of technical delivery

  • Experience mentoring junior developers

  • Strong cross-functional communication

  • Eligible to work in the United States

  • Able to work 2-3 days per week on-site

  • Able to travel to Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, as needed

Bonus Skills

  • PeopleSoft experience

  • Experience across both HR and Finance

  • Principal- or lead-level enterprise ERP experience

  • Production support experience

  • Performance optimization experience
