Operating Engineer - HVAC Engineer

Our client, a leading commercial real estate and facilities management organization , is seeking an Operating Engineer to join their team. As an Operating Engineer , you will be part of the Facilities & Engineering Operations Department supporting the Building Operations and Maintenance Team . The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills , attention to detail , and excellent customer service skills , which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Operating Engineer - HVAC Engineer

Location: Chino, CA 91710

Pay Range: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour

What’s the Job?

• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot building systems including HVAC, boilers, pumps, electrical, and mechanical equipment.

• Manage preventive maintenance activities and ensure timely completion of work orders through CMMS systems.

• Oversee contractors and vendors performing maintenance and repair work within the facility.

• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and facility documentation standards.

• Support facility operations by maintaining equipment uptime and responding to operational issues as they arise.

What’s Needed?

• 2-3+ years of facilities maintenance, building engineering, or commercial property operations experience.

• Experience working with HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or related building systems.

• Working knowledge of CMMS platforms; Corrigo experience is a plus.

• Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

• EPA Universal Certification, Operating Engineer License, or other technical certifications are preferred but not required.
