Full job description

Description

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Executive Briefing Program is seeking an experienced Briefing Program Manager to plan and deliver high-value executive briefings for customers at one of our Executive Briefing Centers. As a Briefing Program Manager, you are responsible for the overall success of onsite executive briefings. This includes managing planning timelines, stakeholder expectations and communications, executive engagement, and the successful execution of each briefing. You will work with internal sales stakeholders to provide consultation on the design of briefing engagements, working backwards from the customer's business objectives to develop bespoke agendas and experiences that solve specific customer challenges and advance adoption of AWS services. You will work closely with supporting briefing team members to plan and execute engagements that deepen customer relationships and accelerate cloud adoption. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who builds partnerships easily, has strong project management and analytical skills, and can manage multiple briefings at once. They communicate effectively with executive stakeholders and deliver independently on both tactical and program initiatives, while seeking direction on complex or ambiguous engagements. They are organized, comfortable applying established processes and guidelines, collaborative, and able to work backwards from the customer to make data-informed decisions.

Key job responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end planning and delivery of executive briefings at a single Executive Briefing Center, serving as the primary point of contact throughout the briefing lifecycle.

  • Work backwards from the customer's business objectives to develop briefing agendas and facilitate experiences that connect AWS executives, technical subject matter experts, and customers in outcome-based discussions.

  • Partner with account teams and internal stakeholders to provide consultation during the briefing planning process and set clear expectations with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Build and maintain relationships with account teams, speakers, and vendors to deliver a streamlined, high-quality experience.

  • Apply established playbooks and timelines, and recommend improvements to existing processes and tools based on customer feedback and delivery experience.

  • Use data and metrics to track delivery, measure briefing effectiveness, and surface insights that may inform broader program improvements.

  • Manage briefing meetings including kick-offs, planning calls, and post-briefing debriefs.

  • Begin to mentor briefing coordinators and newer team members by sharing knowledge and best practices.

Travel: less than 10% of time.

A day in the life

Your days will be spent hosting customers at our center, meeting with account teams to plan and craft customer engagements, and sourcing the right AWS speakers to help customers achieve their business objectives. About 25 to 50 percent of the work week is spent hosting customers, while the remainder is spent planning future engagements and working with your team to improve delivery and the customer experience.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs

  • Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation
