Job Description
Help shape the future of Chase’s account-based payments franchise, spanning Zelle, ACH, and real-time payments. We are looking for a Product Manager who can help define how these capabilities evolve to meet changing customer needs, unlock new money movement experiences, and strengthen Chase’s position in payments. You will work across a diverse portfolio and help connect customer and market opportunities to the product priorities and investments that shape how millions of customers move money.
As a Senior Associate, Product Manager (Payments Strategy and Planning), you will define strategic priorities and translate them into product roadmaps, investment decisions, and measurable outcomes across the account-based payments portfolio. You will evaluate new opportunities, structure complex and ambiguous problems, and develop quantitative and qualitative insights that inform product direction and senior leadership decisions. Partnering across product, engineering, design, finance, risk, operations, and other teams, you will align stakeholders, manage trade-offs, and ensure near-term product decisions advance Chase’s longer-term payments strategy.
Job responsibilities
-
Support development of the long-term strategy for account-based payments and money movement capabilities
-
Assess customer needs, competitive dynamics, industry trends, and emerging payment capabilities to identify opportunities and implications
-
Structure complex business questions and deliver quantitative and qualitative analyses that inform recommendations
-
Support portfolio prioritization by evaluating sequencing, capacity, dependencies, and trade-offs across initiatives
-
Translate strategic priorities into clear product and investment plans, including annual and quarterly planning deliverables
-
Develop business cases and decision materials to inform investment and roadmap decisions
-
Maintain an integrated view of key initiatives and highlight decisions required to advance the portfolio
-
Connect individual initiatives to the broader portfolio strategy and customer journeys
-
Create concise, decision-oriented presentations for senior leadership and executive forums
-
Facilitate alignment across product, technology, finance, risk, and other partners to advance strategic priorities
-
Help ensure near-term plans and investments remain connected to longer-term strategic objectives
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
-
3+ years of experience in management consulting, product strategy, corporate strategy, or a similar strategic role (payments, fintech, financial services, or technology experience is helpful)
-
Experience supporting product strategy, strategic planning, portfolio prioritization, and/or product roadmap development
-
Demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous problems and translate analysis into clear, actionable recommendations
-
Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, including building business cases and evaluating investment trade-offs
-
Experience creating concise, executive-ready written materials and presentations
-
Experience partnering cross-functionally with stakeholders in product, technology, finance, risk, and related functions
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive work from problem definition through recommendation with appropriate oversight
-
Demonstrated attention to detail and sound judgment in evaluating options and trade-offs
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
-
Experience in payments, digital banking, money movement, financial services, or fintech
-
Familiarity with account-to-account transfers, ACH, and real-time payment capabilities
-
Experience working directly with product teams to translate strategy into product priorities and roadmaps
-
Experience developing recommendations and materials for senior executives
