Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for an Advanced Medical Office Clerk to support the team at Ireland Army Health Clinic at Fort Knox, Kentucky.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced medical office professional who enjoys working in a structured, professional healthcare environment and wants to make a meaningful contribution to the military community. You will play an important role in helping ensure patients receive efficient, organized, and responsive administrative support.

What You'll Do

Provide administrative and clerical support within a busy military healthcare setting

Coordinate and manage patient scheduling

Maintain accurate medical records and documentation

Use electronic health record and medical information systems

Communicate professionally with patients, clinical staff, and other departments

Answer phones, route calls, and provide excellent customer service

Maintain patient confidentiality and follow established healthcare record-keeping standards

Operate standard office equipment including computers, phones, fax machines, copiers, and scanners

Position Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum typing speed of 50 WPM

At least 1 year of experience in medical office scheduling or relevant administrative/clerical work

Basic knowledge of medical terminology

Experience working with electronic health records or medical record systems

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent grammar, spelling, and professional telephone etiquette

Knowledge of medical ethics, confidentiality, and healthcare record-keeping standards

Proficiency with standard office equipment and computer systems

RHIT or RHIA certification preferred, but not required

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform primarily sedentary work with occasional standing, walking, and bending

Ability to retrieve and file records using a step ladder when necessary

Ability to lift approximately 25 to 50 pounds as required by the position
