The Executive Assistant works with a high degree of independence, regularly engaging with Executive Leadership and SAIC staff at all levels. Absolute confidentiality, meticulous attention to detail, and an unwavering commitment to professionalism are the cornerstones of success in this position.
What You'll Do
Executive Calendar & Schedule Management

-
Track tasks, schedules, and due dates for all deliverables, keeping the EVP ahead of critical milestones
Communication & Correspondence
-
Review and manage the EVP's email inbox, identifying urgent issues, action items, and key deadlines
-
Communicate directly and on behalf of the EVP with internal and external stakeholders — researching, prioritizing, and following up on incoming issues to determine the appropriate course of action, referral, or response
-
Prepare confidential documents, executive-level agendas, and polished presentations for both internal and external audiences
Strategic Problem-Solving & Decision Support
-
Proactively take charge of situations, exercising independent judgment, initiative, and tact to make sound administrative decisions, resolve issues, and escalate appropriately — always with careful regard for confidentiality and company policy
-
Continuously identify opportunities to increase organizational efficiency, streamline processes, and solve problems while meeting deadlines
-
Make discriminating decisions regarding the distribution and flow of information and work
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
-
Partner with key administrative staff across the enterprise, serving as a bridge for smooth, effective communication at all levels
-
Demonstrate professional maturity and leadership to build relationships critical to organizational success
-
Engender credibility and trust with staff and executive leadership across SAIC
Events, Travel & Office Administration
-
Plan and execute networking, team-building, and special events for internal staff and external audiences
-
Arrange complex, detailed domestic and international travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; create and track expense reports in a timely manner
-
Manage all aspects of office administration with independent thinking and sound judgment, establishing and maintaining efficient office procedures
-
Maintain organizational charts, files, and records; perform additional administrative duties as assigned
