We work hard, care deeply and reach further to help people uncover their own power to be healthy. We inspire hope. We learn, grow, and achieve more – in our careers and in our communities.

Job Description Summary:

Schedule: Mon-Fri, no weekend & no holidays

  • Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm

Join OhioHealth’s Heart & Vascular Referral Center as a Triage RN, where you’ll play a vital role in helping patients access the cardiovascular care they need quickly, accurately, and compassionately. This role offers autonomy, collaboration, and the opportunity to apply your cardiovascular expertise in a non–bedside environment.

As the RN for our referral center, you will conduct clinical triage of ambulatory cardiology referrals by reviewing patient charts and determining whether each referral should be directed to general cardiology or a specialized subspecialty. You’ll evaluate histories, testing, procedures, and documentation to identify the most appropriate care path. In partnership with scheduling teams and the heart and vascular office staff, you will help facilitate urgent requests, answer clinical questions, and ensure that each patient is routed efficiently and appropriately.

A strong candidate for this role brings a deep working knowledge of heart and vascular conditions, including cardiovascular procedures, medications, surgeries, diagnostic testing, and symptom management. You should be comfortable making clinical decisions independently and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams. Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with cardiology practices and care teams are essential, as is an interest in applying clinical expertise in a fully remote, non bedside setting. If you are looking for a role that allows you to work in a supportive team environment and presents opportunities for continuous learning and development, joining the Heart & Vascular team could be a great fit for you!
