Lead Man (4 positions)

Duties: Practicing horticulture knowledge and standards, overseeing, directing a landscape crew, and ensuring all equipment is loaded and ready for each job. Installing and maintaining landscaped areas, such as Xeriscape, and ensuring proper maintenance of equipment. Monitoring project activities, reviewing work assignments, ordering corrective work when problems occur. Training workers in tasks like transplanting or pruning trees or shrubs. Operating procedures and work standards are established to ensure performance and personnel safety. Inspecting plants and soil conditions, mixing or applying fertilizers, insecticides, herbicides, or fungicides. Maintaining records such as personnel information and project records. Recommend changes in work conditions or equipment to increase crew efficiency. Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, bending, hunching, kneeling, standing, balancing, climbing, stooping, crawling, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting 50+ lbs. Minimum 24 months experience in Landscape and Groundskeeping. Valid Driver's License required. No EDU REQ. Days & Hours: 40 hours/week (6:00am-2:30pm); day shift; Mon-Fri. Wage: $61,235 per year.
