Full job description
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.
ABOUT THE TEAM Production technology (ProdTech) is a organization that enables Anduril’s end to end production processes through technology, drives adoption/adherence, and determines the roadmap of our production enterprise systems. WHAT YOU'LL DO Team Development and Resource Planning
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of individuals responsible for the training and adoption of new systems
- Foster cross-functional collaboration across engineering teams.
- Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Manage budgets, resources, and staffing.
Process Development & Operational Execution:
- Establish and own the end-to-end support model (Tier 1/2/3 escalation paths, triage workflows, and on-call rotations) for mission-critical enterprise systems.
- Define and track operational SLAs (First Response Time, Time to Resolution, System Availability) to prevent operational bottlenecks on the production floor.
- Build robust feedback loops with core Engineering and Product teams, translating frontline tickets and system bugs into prioritized roadmap features.
Training, Enablement & Change Management:
- Architect comprehensive, role-based training programs and certifications for shop-floor operators, manufacturing engineers, and supply chain teams.
- Design and execute change management plans for new system rollouts, migrations, and major software releases, minimizing operational disruption.
- Implement modern learning tools, digital adoption platforms, and dynamic documentation that keep pace with rapid, continuous software deployment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner deeply with Factory Operations, Quality, Central IT, and Software Engineering to align tooling with real-world operational workflows.
- Serve as the executive escalation point for production-blocking software issues.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years in software, systems, or manufacturing engineering, including 3+ years leading engineering teams, with experience managing managers or a clear readiness to.
- Demonstrated ownership of enterprise production systems at scale — MES, ERP, MRP, WMS, PLM, or equivalent — including the integration layer between them.
- Strong systems architecture judgment: data modeling, systems of record vs. application layer, integration patterns, and the ability to say what belongs where and why.
- Direct experience delivering software into a live manufacturing environment, with accountability for it after go-live.
- Track record of operating across functional boundaries — manufacturing, supply chain, and planning — and of being trusted by central IT / platform engineering counterparts.
- Able to hold a technical position under pressure from senior stakeholders, and to change it when the argument is better.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience standing up or scaling an internal engineering function inside a manufacturing or industrial company — hiring, leveling, and building the technical bar from scratch.
- Hands-on background with Oracle ERP and modern application/platform stacks built above it.
- Experience with platform models: exposing APIs and extension surfaces to internal builders, and the governance that goes with it (certification, support tiers, deprecation).
- Applied automation, ML, or agent-based workflow experience in an operational setting, including the identity and auditability questions it raises.
- High-rate or high-mix manufacturing, defense production, or regulated environments.
