Pharmacy Technician, Non-Certified

Job Duties

Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Non-Certified Pharmacy Tech to join our team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary:

Under direct supervision of a Pharmacist, assists in the timely and accurate dispensing of non-sterile hazardous and non-hazardous medications to patients in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

Work Schedule:

Day/Evening rotating shifts, including every other weekend.

Required Qualifications:

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

Must be registered with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Basic computer skills required including use of Epic and Microsoft Office products (e-mail, internet, Word, Excel).

Math aptitude is required. Ability to mathematically compute and convert drug concentrations and doses.

Ability to type.

Attention to detail.

Customer service skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Time and task management, prioritizing, and organizational skills

Ability to prioritize and problem solve.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior Pharmacy experience preferred.
