Landscape Architecture Intern
Location: Kansas City, MO
This is an in-office position in Kansas City, MO.
The NorthPoint Development Internship Program is an 8-10 week experience designed to immerse students in the fast-paced world of real estate and development. The Landscape Architecture Intern will work on meaningful projects, gaining valuable exposure to the industry while building skills that will carry into their future careers.
What You'll Do

Collaborate with engineers, planners, and surveyors in a fast-paced, stimulating and inspiring team environment.

Obtain valuable experience towards future certification, working with licensed Landscape Architects and Professional Planners, building your expertise designing for NorthPoint-s industrial, data center, multifamily and retail development platforms.

Conceptualize site plans, master plans, preliminary grading, and detailed landscape design.

Contribute to 3D visualizations and graphic presentations for a variety of project types.

Enhance your project design, entitlement, and permitting submittal documents by learning to effectively communicate your designs with municipalities and contractors.

Be at the center of a team of technically minded developers, reporting your recommendations for how best to create desirable spaces and revitalize abandoned properties to help communities grow and thrive.

You enjoy using your problem-solving skills and are excited by new challenges and interesting puzzles.

You are interested in a wide range of areas including master planning, site specific design, and detailed landscape design.

You are eager to learn or expand your skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D, LandFX, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling programs.

You are working towards a degree in landscape architecture, planning, real estate, or related field.
